We know that your hygiene radar is high because your choice to use a bidet. At Bidet Warehouse we have a high radar too, that’s why when we came across SOAP AID we were totally in tune with their ambitions to bring higher hygiene to where it’s needed most in the world.
Handwashing with soap to improve hygiene practices is a simple, effective way to save lives. Hand hygiene has a dramatic impact on preventing deaths and illnesses caused by trachoma, worm infections, chronic malnutrition, swine flu, pneumonia, SARs, neo-mortality and diarrhea. The benefits of handwashing with soap extend beyond improvements to health. Good hygiene removes barriers to education, nutrition, economic opportunity and equity. Children are healthier, have less missed school days and have improved education outcomes.
The accommodation industry uses millions of bars of soap every year that go into landfill. SOAP AID’s Hotel to Hands Program saves thousands of these bars of soap from landfill and recycles and redirects soap to save lives.Â
Soap Aid works directly with local community impact partners to ensure the ongoing supply of soap and vital hygiene education.Â
Soap Aid partner with organisations, NGOs, government departments and other charities who are already engaged in communities to educate children and families on the use of handwashing with soap.Â
Soap Aid has now recycled over 3.7 million bars through the Soap Aid Hotel to Hands Program, with over 1.4 million bars of soap distributed to indigenous communities in Australia, preventing thousands of children from contracting diseases such as trachoma and pneumonia.
